I finally got around to checking out Rip’s new book:

Of course Rip Esselstyn is the son of one of our favorite Doctors, Caldwell Esselstyn Jr. (author of Prevent and Reverse Heart Disease).
We loved Rip’s first book: The Engine 2 Diet and his second book doesn’t disappoint.
His first book tells the story of how he was able to help a bunch of Texas firefighters change their lives by eating a plant-based diet. It challenges readers to eat plant-strong for 28 days to help them see the power of plant based nutrition.
This new book is all about the “Crazy Myths About Food”. It has 36 fun chapters that contain all the facts you’ll need to combat the silly food myths that we hear all of the time about food and what is healthy. We all know there is a huge disconnect between what people think is healthy and what medical science knows to be healthy. Rip explains to plant eaters and meat eaters alike why a whole-food, plant-based diet rocks on many different levels. I checked out this book to look through the recipes, but found the entire book to be very beneficial. It is an easy read and it reminds me why I love Rip Esselstyn, he is a total stud!
So if the first book challenged you to learn about plant-based eating, this second book provides you with all the facts you need to stay on the diet, as well as convince others to join you! Highly recommend it.
I am excited to try some of the recipes as well…I will keep you posted 🙂
