Veteran – Rip Esseltyn- PLANT STRONG

I wanted to give a shout-out to RIP ESSELTYN.  I was able to meet him at the Vegsource Healthy Lifestyle Expo earlier this month.  He is a stud!  I love hearing his story.  He is the son of Dr. Caldwell Esseltyn author of Prevent & Reverse Heart Disease.  He was an iron man triathlete (competed in the Hawaii Iron Man competition) and now he is a Texas fire fighter.   And best of all…he is VEGAN.   He helped and inspired his fellow firefighters to eat a plant-based diet which caused many of the men to loose weight and more importantly, they dramatically lowered their cholesterol.  He wrote the book:  The Engine 2 Diet which is based off his experiences with helping his comrades.

He gave an amazing presentation that inspired all of us to TAKE IT TO THE NEXT LEVEL.

The next level is different for every person.   But if you are striving to eat a more PLANT BASED diet…you are definitely at a different level then most people.  Can you do more?  How can you take it to the next level?  Who could use your help?

Rip taught me that I can do more…even if it means that I have to go out of my comfort zone.  He has found his passion- and he is helping a lot of people.  He is an inspiring man.  Check out his website:  It has such a cool tool called The Grocery List Builder- Check it out 🙂

Your CHALLENGE:  Determine how YOU can take it to the next level…AND commit to do it!

Some examples:  Feed your own family even better!  Let other’s see your healthy choices- set a good example!  Have a potluck and invite your family/friends.  Cook some yummy healthy recipes to show them that healthy food can taste really good! Get involved and support a healthy food organization.  Teach a class.  Stand up for plant based nutrition…even if you get some funny looks.  If you believe in what you are doing- people will see that. Inspire others!
