Veteran – Plan for success…

PLAN FOR SUCCESS, AND YOU WILL SUCCEED MORE OFTEN.

I shared this THOUGHT in my last post…but it has become one of my favorites!

For us MOMMIES to combat our country’s FOOD INDUSTRY, and all of their powerful commercial marketing (I like to call it PROPAGANDA) that stares us in the face DAILY…

…we need a PLAN!

How often do want to eat healthy…but when a meal time arrives unexpectedly AND we have hungry faces to feed – IN A HURRY …We grab for the less desirable?

“Hunger causes urgency, and urgency demands short-term solutions that compromise long-term values.”  Douglas J. Lisle

It does take serious planning…and it does take TIME….BUT IT’S WORTH IT!

“If you want to know what health is worth, ask the person who has lost it.”  John Robbins

I would like to share my PLAN for this week (click on picture for recipe):

MONDAY:

TUESDAY:

WEDNESDAY:

THURSDAY:  Left-over night (YEAH!)

FRIDAY:

Just a reminder to all of us PREFECTIONISTS:

“Success is not final, failure is not fatal:  it is the courage to continue that counts.”  Sir Winston Churchill

On that same note-

…We all need a little sweet every now and then.  Check this new recipe out!  It was inspired by one of our members.  We changed things slightly for our tastes.  My kids LOVE them!  It’s a great way for them to get their “good fats” from the raw nut butters.

LIFE IS GOOD!

No Bake Coconut Balls

Ingredients

2 cups shredded coconut (unsweetened)

2 TBS agave nectar (honey should work as well)

4 TBS nut butter (I use the WFM’s nut butter recipe)

1 TBS vanilla

pinch of salt

Almonds and/or Chocolate Chips (add as desired)

DIRECTIONS

Combine all ingredients in a medium sized bowl.  Shape the mixture into 1 inch balls and place on cookie sheet.  Place cookie sheet into freezer until balls are frozen (1-2 hours).  Then place balls into freezer bag for a quick and easy treat.
