Such a bummer….I gained 3 pounds this week…yikes. Two of those were just from the crappy dinner I ate at Chilis on Thursday night.
I am the type of girl that gains weight VERY easily. When I go on girls trips it is not uncommon for me to put on 8 pounds in one weekend…seriously. This is simply by eating what everyone else is eating (which is pure junk), yet no one else’s body seems to be affected the way mine is. While it totally sucks for me, it is information that I have known for a long time, and something that I simply need to always be mindful of.
Eating out 3 times in one week is a big red flag for me. I truly believe that almost anything you find on the menu of most chain restaurants is loaded with sugars, chemicals, and toxins. Even the “salads” are not even close to the wholesome ones you would make at home. Not only that, but I tend to eat more at a restaurant meal than I would at home. I rarely come home from a restaurant feeling energetic and ready for my morning workout. And then I go into the awful cycle of guilt: “why would you eat like that knowing how it affects your body?”
Luckily, when I am disciplined, I can usually get the weight off. So for the next week I will unfortunately be trying to get off the weight I put on.
I now know that SUGAR is my number one enemy when I am losing weight. ANYTIME I have even a little sugar when i am trying to lose weight, the scale won’t budge. I have tested my theory over and over, and FOR ME, I need to avoid ALL sugar when trying to shed the pounds. Which is a bummer considering how much I love it! But thanks to everything I have read and tried, I now feel armed with the proper knowledge to lose weight. A WHOLE FOODS PLANT-BASED DIET!!! Also, steering clear of the processed foods -just about anything that comes in a box, carton, bag, or can that is not a vegetable!
